Yard Associate

Individuals should exhibit a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and possess the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential customers. They should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be attentive to customers' needs and concerns, and show a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Operate Compact Loaders, and skid steers in a safe, professional manner
- Loads and unloads materials from delivery trucks into yard
- Engages in customer service functions, as needed such as assisting customers to load material into their own vehicles
- Maintain a positive public image of the company with appropriate personal conduct and by operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional, and courteous manner
- Monitors traffic flow on company premises to ensure safety
- Run skid steer sweeper at nearby commercial sites when needed
- Care for and maintain company equipment to company standards
- Complete daily maintenance, inspection, and clean-up, correcting or reporting all defects immediately
- Assist and support work efforts of all yards, shop and field employees
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Participate and comply in Rocklands Health and Safety program

**Required Qualifications and Skills**
- High School Diploma and 1-2 years of retail sales experience
- 1-2 years of experience in operating skid steer and compact loader
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Neat appearance and strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and at times with little to no supervision

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
