London, Canada Piping Kettle Soup Co Full time

As a Cook at The Piping Kettle, you will learn our secret soup recipes and receive hands-on training on how to cook each recipe to perfection. Our cooks start their days as early as 6 am to ensure the soups are prepared and piping hot for when we open our doors. We are looking for dedicated, friendly and passionate people who know the secret ingredient to any good recipe is “love”.

**What Your Day Looks Like**

**Cooking**
- Prepare high-quality hot and cold foods according to recipes developed by our Corporate Chef.
- Organize all food prep stations to ensure smooth and efficient flow in the kitchen.
- Ensure that inventory of supplies is completed regularly, and items required are in-stock.
- Communicate clearly if any kitchen or menu items are running low and need to be ordered.
- Ensure deliveries are stored in their proper place and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept organized and clean, including storage shelves, hallways, work surfaces, walk-ins, refrigerators and coolers.

**Serving**
- Welcome each customer and answer questions about the daily menu.
- Serve soups and salads; prepare sandwiches and smoothies.
- Work fast-paced lunch and dinner rushes that make the time fly.
- Maintain high quality standards, cleaning, and restocking.

**Requirements**:

- You love early mornings and can work independently or as part of a small team.
- You take pride in cooking and nourishing your community.
- You have a great attitude and good organizational skills.
- You have experience as a cook.
- Have a flexible work schedule.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Work well under pressure.
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
- Continuous standing/walking for all tasks; lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
- Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping.

**Reports to: Store Manager/Store Owner**

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
