**Description**:
The Associate Manager performs a leadership role for the Notifiable Disease Team and reports directly to the Manager, Notifiable Disease (ND). This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization over the activities and support of the vision, mission, and business plan of AHS. This position is accountable and responsible for providing direction, team leadership and organization of province-wide notifiable disease standards and guidelines for routine notifiable diseases and outbreaks to optimize CDC business operations and service delivery. The Associate Manager collaborates with CDC teams, Zone Public Health partners, Medical Officers of Health and community/external provincial/national stakeholders to coordinate notifiable disease and outbreak response management, planning and supporting change and facilitating the establishment, implementation, evaluation, maintenance and mentorship for best practice relationships among both internal AHS staff as well as external partners. The Associate Manager will support reporting and monitoring structures with key metrics to inform planning and practice. This position will recommend or propose opportunities based on data and evidence and support the execution of process changes as required. The Associate Manager, develops and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders and provides leadership and direction in creation of notifiable disease and outbreak program resources and processes.

**Required Qualifications**:
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, health promotion, Public or Population Health, or a related field Registered with the applicable professional association or college. Experience in at least one of the following areas: Communicable Disease Control, Population and Public Health, or Infection. Prevention Control within the last 7 years. A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Ideally experience will be related to communicable disease control in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Demonstrated ability to work virtually.

Exhibit strong time management and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to function effectively within a stressful and evolving work environment. Experienced in auditing, reporting and monitoring key metrics. Exhibit strong ability for attention to detail. Comfort working in a virtual environment. Be self-directed, action-oriented, demonstrate quick problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Master’s Degree in Nursing or related health care discipline. Knowledge and experience in communicable disease control and/or public health programs. Knowledge and experience in infection prevention control. Experience with case investigation/contact tracing or outbreak management (i.e. epidemiology).
