Northern Health is looking for an experienced, highly efficient, and self-directed temporary full time Assistant to support the Disability Management department.
- The Disability Management Assistant is responsible for the overall provision, organization, and evaluation of confidential administrative and technical support functions within the Disability Management team of the WH&S department. The incumbent is also responsible as directed for the collection, monitoring, and reporting of Disability Management data. The position supports the Disability Management team with the development and implementation of program elements including web resources, e-learning modules, and education/presentations as requested. This role assists Regional Manager of Disability Management in setting an effective working and learning environment and in recognizing opportunities which ensure consistency, collaboration, and increased efficiency in administrative and program functions. The role functions to provide maintenance and management of the filing system for all Northern Health confidential employee health records and works directly with Disability Management in the facilitation and coordination of individual employee confidential medical health records. The Assistant is also responsible for inputting information from a variety of sources into a computer database and functions as a first point of contact for the assigned area(s) and directs both internal and external clients to the appropriate staff to address needs.
- Starting salary will be approximately from $44,088 to $55,110 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.**Prince George** has a population of 89,490 (2021) local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000. **Qualifications**
- Grade 12 Diploma, graduation from a recognized secretarial program.
- Five (5) years recent related experience including experience working with various computer software programs.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to type 60 wpm.
- Ability to organize workload and set priorities, as well as demonstrate flexibility in meeting multiple demands and deadlines without supervision.
- Ability to effectively utilize software programs required for professional-quality reporting, communication, webpage, and e-learning development e.g., MS Office Suite, including Word 2007, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Live Meeting, Captivate, and Publisher.
- Ability to efficiently gather research data as requested or required using a variety of methods.
- Basic knowledge of WSBC legislation an asset.
