**About the Opportunity**:
Under the general direction of the Health Services Manager, the Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) Supervisor is responsible for the provision and supervision of quality reprocessing, at all stages, of reusable medical devices which may also include endoscope/ endo-cavity probe reprocessing and picking of OR case carts. Supervisors manage the day-to-day operations of specific MDR departments within the zone; engage in regular quality improvement processes; and facilitate productive and robust relationships with partners within the perioperative program and other clinical services in the zone. Ensuring that established policies and procedures are adhered to and that accurate records on key performance indicators are maintained is a key function of the role.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade 12
- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Course
- Minimum of five years of recent medical device reprocessing experience in a high-volume MDR setting
- Recent MDR Charge/Team Lead or other relevant leadership experience required
- Successful completion of a Medical Device Reprocessing Leadership Program (or successfully complete within first year as Supervisor)
- Current member of the Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Nova Scotia an asset
- Certification in medical device reprocessing through the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), or the International Association of Healthcare, Central Service or Materials Management
- Medical Terminology Course preferred
- Surgical Instrument Specialist Course preferred
- Leadership development programs an asset
- Formal quality management education an asset
- Computer skills
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge in the principles and practices of Professional Standards and departmental and organizational policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve during crisis situations to ensure department is able to deliver products
- Competencies on other languages an asset, French preferred

**Compensation and Incentives**:
