Landscape Technician

Green Works Contracting is a leader in Ottawa’s residential landscape industry. We are passionate about landscaping and are one of Ottawa's largest sod installers. We are professional, client focused and committed to providing exceptional service.

Job Requirements:
Have at least 1 year of experience working in residential landscape

Hold a valid class driver’s license

Have sound knowledge of landscape construction practices, such as grading, drainage, soil work, soil structure, planting large trees and of course, installing sod

Skilled in using a variety of power tools, including plate tamper, cut-off saws, chainsaw, jackhammer

Ability to operate excavators, skid steer and loaders is a definite asset

Able to read, layout materials and work from landscape design plans

Able to successfully complete tasks independently and thrive in a team setting

Punctual, reliable, detail oriented, personable and able to lift 80 lbs.

Job Responsibilities:
Soil work; including moving materials in an efficient manner, grading and prepping areas for plants and lawn

Planting small trees, shrubs and hedge material; laying sod Prepping and building retaining walls, paving areas, landscape structures, etc.

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gloucester, ON K1G 6T8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
- Landscape: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
