Medical Office Assistant/receptionist

This position is covering a maternaty leave.

Start date is February 12th-20th, 2024.

We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and compassionate individual to join our team and provide outstanding care to our family medicine clinic patients.

This is a full-time position, and hours of work are 8:30 a.m.4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet, register, and direct patients to examination rooms
- Verify patient information and health card validity
- Schedule appointments based on triage priority
- Manage inbound and outbound telephone calls
- Assist with billing and payments (OHIP, WSIB, and Third Party)

**Qualifications / Skills**:

- Medical Office Administration diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Medical Office Administrator/Medical Receptionist (required)
- Experience and/or training with electronic medical record system (knowledge of Accuro EMR is an asset)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to use discretion, maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Respectful, kind, and empathetic with a positive attitude
- Proficiency with medical terminology is an asset
- Passionate about healthcare
- Works well in a team setting

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary

**Salary**: $37,000.00-$40,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:
