As a Warehouse Chief Steward, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities within a designated zone or area of the warehouse. Your role involves supervising warehouse associates, coordinating workflow, and ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of goods. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting operational goals.

The Chief Steward (Warehouse) plays a pivotal role in the event company's operations by overseeing the stewarding department within the warehouse facility. This position requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in warehouse operations to support successful event execution.

**Responsibilities**:

- Team Management: Supervise support staff, providing direction, training, and performance feedback to ensure the efficient operation of warehouse activities in relation to your respected zone.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels of event supplies, equipment, and materials, overseeing receiving, storage, and distribution processes to support event logistics.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility, including storage areas, equipment, and workspaces, in compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Event Support: Collaborate with event operations teams to prepare and pack event materials, equipment, and supplies for transportation to event venues, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliveries.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries, including proper handling of materials, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to safety regulations.
- Communication: Maintain open communication channels with other departments, including event operations, logistics, and management, to coordinate activities and address any issues or concerns promptly.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or training in warehouse management or logistics is advantageous.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, with a minimum of 1 years in a supervisory role. Preferably in event operations or related industry.
- A valid class 5 driver’s license
- Forklift Experience/ Certification (preferred)
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs.)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of inventory management and logistics principles.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
