**ANNUAL SALARY**: $72,636 (Under Review)

**SUMMARY**:
The Information Technology Security Officer reports directly to the Manager of IT and ensures that cyber security projects meet objectives across our organization. They are responsible for process re-engineering and documentation of activities related to this area. They will work to ensure the security of our information systems, employee data and student information throughout our entire network.

**JOB DUTIES**:
Deliver assigned project work and support infrastructure upgrades/change requests;
Provide project leadership in the integration and consolidation of enterprise technology solutions and platforms

Assist in the configuration of IT Cloud technologies, specifically but not limited to Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Google

Configure the underlying technologies required to enable cloud services such as: Networking - Switching, Routing, Firewalls

Virtual infrastructure - VM Configuration and Storage Access and Control Windows and Linux Servers

Develop technology standards within to allow for the efficient implementation of technical platforms

Deploy, integrate, and conduct the initial configuration of all new security solutions as well as enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standards and best practices

Lead IT security risk assessments and control design activities as well as remediation and escalation of critical information security incidents as needed

Monitoring the day-to-day operations of technical security products including, but not limited to encryption tools and Pen testing

Act as a Subject Matter Expert and primary point of contact for all security products and processes

Keep current on the IT threat landscape and upcoming trends in security

Ensure security requirements are included in developed and emerging technologies

Accountable for the configuration, monitoring, alerting, and reporting of security systems

Provide direction and guidance to project teams and suppliers who are designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining business-critical information systems and data warehouse projects

Assist in the development and writing of business cases and assessment reports through the provision of technical content

Assist in the preparation and presentation of tactical and strategic plans for the development and integration of technology systems

Conduct troubleshooting and analysis of technical systems to determine the root cause of outages and systems issues

Respond to front-line and escalated tickets from system support requests

Perform other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline plus a minimum of 3 years in a Systems Engineer, Implementation, lead role.

Expert in deploying and configuring Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows PowerShell

Expert in debugging hardware, software, and network problems

Practical knowledge of several operating systems and databases

Customer-focused approach
