**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
TheEncampment Coordinator’s will assist in searching for encampments and complete the pre-screen to start the housing process, or to determine what supports are best suited for the participant.
- Complete a Pre-screen-SPDAT assessment tool on-site
- Providing short-term problem-solving identifying and assessing supports
- Knowledge of short-term or long-term shelter/Housing options
- Knowledgeable of Community supports and resources.
- Cultural Supports: smudge, medicines
- Transporting to the nearest shelter
- Hand out warm clothing and non-perishable items
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Team Leader
- All staff are to be cross trained in Nikihk Housing 1st positions for the purpose of cover off as needed and requested by the Team Leader

**DELIVERABLES AND REPORTS**

The Encampment Coordinator’s shall provide time sheets by the last day of each month to the Team Leader.

The Encampment Coordinator’s shall provide a weekly schedule identifying areas of service and mapping to the Project Team Leader or his/her designate on a weekly basis. To include but not limited to:
The Encampment Coordinator’s is to be responsible for all administration of within the scope of services. To include but not limited to:

- Reporting parking for reimbursement
- Reporting / Mapping of identified encampment areas
- ETO database-Pre-screen is uploaded within 24 hours and has all current and valid client information.
- All client documents are filed are organized

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2-year Diploma or equivalent or 2 years to less than 3 years of experience of delivery
- Must have the ability to empathize with those experiencing significant barriers in their lives and enthusiasm for being part of the solution to end homelessness in Edmonton.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of poverty related issues, trends, and services particularly within, but not limited to the urban indigenous population is essential.
- Must understand the impact the loss of culture identity and intergeneration residential school syndrome has had on Aboriginal people.
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing skills.
- Experience of networking with a range of partners and organisations
- Naloxone Training
- Partnership responsibilities including but not limited to: intake, partnership meetings, case conferencing, training and committees.
- Criminal record and Child and Youth Information Systems check are required.
- Able to show a demonstrated commitment to Bent Arrow’s mission and values, policies, and guidelines

**SUPPLEMENTARY REQUIREMENTS**
- At the discretion of the Project Team Leader, or his/her designate, the Encampment Coordinator’s may be required to attend orientation and other appropriate courses/training as designated by the Agency or program policies.
- Must have own vehicle and be willing to transport clients.
- Encampment Coordinator’s must have a valid driver’s license and provide a copy of their driver’s license and agree to having a driver's abstract search.
- Must have 2-million-dollar liability insurance coverage and provide a copy for employee files.
- **CRIM and CYIM must be provided upon interview and must be current (within 6-months)**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: From $5,500.00 per month

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
