**Forbes Bros Ltd. **is seeking an experienced **Supply Chain Manager (full-time, permanent)** to support our growing Engineering team in Edmonton, Alberta.

The **Supply Chain Manager** will primarily review, order, and acquire materials and services to ensure project requirements are fulfilled. This role will also collaborate with various shared services groups and operations teams to meet outlined procurement deliverables. Additionally, they will create business processes and procedures to support organizational growth and development in supply chain management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Consult with Project Teams to determine what goods and services are needed
- Provide Procurement Expertise support to all levels of operations including Project Managers and the Estimating team
- Develop business processes and procedures inclusive of but not limited to: contract formation, contract performance, and compliance of contractual obligations
- Leverage vendors/subcontractors across multiple procurements to create cost savings to project(s)
- Initiate purchase orders in accordance with internal policy to ensure ethical sourcing, legal compliance, and completeness, ensuring that appropriate terms and conditions are in place to mitigate risk to the company
- Conduct procurement-related audits to ensure procedures are followed
- Lead the evaluation and monitoring of contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine needs for changes
- Research and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the vendor's reputation and history and negotiate on best cost
- Identify and meet with suppliers and vendors and supplier/vendor events as required
- Manage the work of vendor prequalification and selection, bid package assembly, bidding, bid review and analysis, purchase order preparation and execution, and managing suppliers to purchase order terms
- Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP's) and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to identify vendors/subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution, and site purchasing levels
- Assist in preparation of contractual agreements with a knowledge of a client's needs and requirements and correspondence and maintain records necessary to ensure the effective administration of all contractual matters
- Engage as requested during pursuit and delivery phase of project
- Manage direct report performance reviews, mentoring and team building
- Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Minimum five (5) years' progressive experience in Supply Chain Management or procurement, with at least two (2) years in a leadership role (combination of experience, certification, and education will be considered)
- Post-secondary Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field; a specialization in supply chain management is strongly preferred
- Supply Chain Management Professional designation (i.e., SCMP, CPP) or equivalent certification, an asset
- Experience in Microsoft Office Applications (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project), and/or equivalent programs
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different business units across the organization and suppliers/vendors and deliver on supply chain management accountabilities
- Willing and able to travel and meet with various vendors/suppliers and attend vendor/supplier events
