Overview:
The
** Weigh Station Operator **manages the day to day scale/office requirements at our Asphalt Terminal in Edmonton.

In this role, you will be tasked with the day to day scale/office duties, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of all tasks assigned.

**Responsibilities**:
**Ticketing**:

- Scale trucks when required prior to loading for tare purposes
- Scale trucks when loaded
- Ensuring proper information is entered
- Truck information
- Customer/quote information
- Product
- Weights

**Coordinating Truck Activity**:

- Operating a scale for scaling in/out trucks.
- Designate Trucks Accordingly to Satisfy Customer Orders; in conjunction with Dispatch
- Coordinate Truck Movement in Pit and to Jobsites
- Complete Required Material Tracking Sheets

**Cash Sales**:

- Ensure all Cash Sales transactions are processed correctly and in a timely manner
- Customer Service - dealing with customer inquiries
- Track on COD Reconciliation spreadsheet

**Office Duties (may vary depending on location)**:

- General office duties
- Ordering supplies
- Generating requisitions for purchase orders.
- Complete and Distribute Various Tracking Sheets as Required; Internally and Externally
- Manage Day to Day Paperwork; tickets’, packing slips, etc.
- Manage Field Level Risk Assessments and Contractor hours
- Maintain Cleanliness of Scale House and Scale
- Help with any other requests as required

Qualifications:
**Education**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- SAP, work and excel knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem solving.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Able to handle difficult issues in a positive way.
- Ability to Perform in a High Pressure Environment
- Strives for continuous improvement.
- Organized self-starter.
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Strong Math Skills

**Requirements**:

- Valid Driver’s License
- Own transportation - must be reliable
- Travel is Required
- Long Hours and Weekend Work
