**What you can expect when joining the team**

Reporting to the Vice-President of Human Resources, you will be responsible for Petal’s global People Operations. Your team will own Petal’s HR tech stack, HR analytics, compliance, training, onboarding and offboarding processes.

This role will directly manage a HR Coordinator and will be responsible for providing both strategic and tactical HR support across to achieve Petal’s People Strategy. You will partner closely with senior leaders, managers, and colleagues to build a highly collaborative, impact-oriented, and people-centric culture.

**Your daily life**

During the day, you will be led to:

- Drive and support the design and operationalization of company-wide people initiatives and help establish best practices that create a high-impact and engaged employee culture;
- Drive strategy, implementation and adoption of all HR systems (such as BambooHR, Leapsome and Northpass) and utilization of these tools to optimize functionality, reduce friction, and scale people processes within Petal;
- Own the delivery, documentation, and effectiveness of core HR operations and processes, systems of record, and communication protocols with other functions such as Finance, Payroll, and Legal;
- Develop brand new programs and processes from scratch;
- Analyze problems and deliver creative solutions where precedent may not exist (and where we don’t have any roadmaps or playbooks);
- Participate in large-scale, company-wide initiatives such as compliance certifications;
- Coordinate and ensure the delivery of quality HR support to ensure requests are met in a timely manner related to onboarding, offboarding, leave of absence management, sick leaves, etc.;
- Lead the generation of data metrics across the employee lifecycle, create a plan for tracking, reporting, and analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies;
- Ensure global compliance through regular monitoring and research of HR trends and regulations across the Canada and Europe, advising management on necessary actions;
- Plan and participate in the integration of mergers and acquisitions across Canada and abroad;
- Manage and develop the members of your team;
- Represent People Operations in the communication of philosophies, processes, policies, and capabilities across the organization.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or the equivalent;
- Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to managing projects and implementing processes;
- Strong project management experience with attention to detail and consistent follow-through;
- Strong content organization, design and presentation skills;
- Demonstrated experience delivering results while working in a fast paced, dynamic environment;
- Excellent communication skills; the ability to distill complex topics into a format that stakeholders can clearly understand;
- Comfort communicating with stakeholders of different levels;
- Prior experience managing the work of others and/or other relevant coaching, and/or leadership experience;
- In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel), proficiency with presentation software such as Canva is an asset;
- Since you must interact with our entire team of employees, many of whom are unilingual Anglophones or Francophones, full English-French proficiency (spoken, written and read) is mandatory.
