FLO Counselling is a remote and in-person counselling practice based in Victoria, BC. Our practice is rooted in a person-centered, solution-focused, trauma-informed approach.

Our primary areas of support include stress and anxiety reduction, emotional regulation, life and sport transitions, self-esteem challenges, and mental performance optimization. We incorporate a CBT framework with DBT and mindfulness practices to help our clients connect with both their thoughts and behaviours.

At FLO Counselling, our goal is to inspire forward momentum, however big or small. We strive to improve the well being of our clients through measurable therapeutic outcomes. Rather than chasing goals, we strive to stretch client’s natural strengths and abilities to achieve their desired outcomes.

**Job description**

**ABOUT YOU**

This role is ideal for someone who is building their private practice, has a part-time position with another organization, and/or is seeking part-time hours to supplement their current schedule.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Master’s Degree in Counselling/Psychology
- RCC or CCC designation (RCC preferred)

**YOUR EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of two (2) years counselling experience with individuals and/or couples
- Past experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and/or self-esteem issues
- Experience working from biopsychosocial perspective
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of counselling modalities, such as CBT and DBT
- Past experience working in sports and/or mental performance (a plus but not required)
- Experience working in personal development (a plus but not required)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**CLINICAL SETTING**
- Provide trauma-informed, person-centered individual counselling (remote and/or in-person)
- Conduct individual counselling in a private space (for virtual sessions only)
- Create a safe therapeutic environment and working relationship with clients from a range of backgrounds and identities
- Maintain a caseload of approximately 10-15 sessions per week
- Connect clients to relevant external resources as needed

**PROFESSIONAL**
- Maintain BCACC/CCPA registration, insurance, and liability requirements
- Abide by the professional and ethical code of conduct of BCACC or CCPA
- Maintain clinical records using our scheduling and charting software
- Schedule your own appointments through our scheduling and charting software

**PERSONAL / DEVELOPMENT**
- Attend monthly team meetings and case consultations
- Engage in supervision at least 1x per month
- Demonstrate an ability to engage in self-care and keep a healthy work-life balance
- Commit to ongoing personal and professional development
