The Role

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with exemplary interpersonal skills and a commitment to supporting people living with mental illness. Our Employment & Programming team takes the leading role in championing our participants, supporting and guiding them as they engage with our social enterprises and onsite programs. This role provides opportunity for you to support participants in discovering and developing their strengths, while also exercising your active spirit.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work directly with participants and supported employees to understand their strengths, goals and ambitions
- Develop effective coaching and skill building plans and activities for participants and supported employees
- Develop and deliver recreation, skill-building and volunteer programs
- Provide accurate reports and assessments as per funding reporting requirements
- Schedule, supervise and complete reporting on participants

- You are comfortable coaching and supervising supported employees while ensuring production needs are met
- Having a Health and Human Services diploma in Therapeutic Recreation is considered an asset

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Driver’s License
- Have access to a reliable vehicle and internet
- Must complete a vulnerable sector check
- COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination or medical exemption
- Walking: ability to walk for up to 60 minutes
- Standing: ability to stand for up to 60 minutes at a time
- Bending/crouching/kneeling/climbing: full abilities, used occasionally each day
- Lifting: up to 50lbs unaided, used occasionally each day

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $44,000.00-$45,330.00 per year
