**Opportunity**:
An exciting and fast paced distribution company start-up is poised to take the next steps for growth.

To do so, they are looking for a dedicated sales territory manager. An individual who excels in this role would be well positioned to see their role expand as the company grows and more sales staff are added.

They need to be independent, a self starter and have an entrepreneurial spirit. In a lean company with an “all hands-on deck” mentality, they need to be able to quickly pivot and help out where needed.

Currently sales have been conducted by the owner and one sales rep. This new sales role will see a mix of managing existing business accounts and opening up new business driven by marketing and lead generation activity.

**The Position**:
This role will be based at our Jamieson Parkway location in Cambridge.

The individual in this position will be responsible for Kitchener-Waterloo and will be well resourced to succeed. Our future success is dependent on their success

The sales activity will be a mix of in office based calling and in person sales call.

Please note, work from home is not an option for this role.

**Here are some of the main job duties in this role**:

- Achieve sales targets for new business sales
- Regular contact and interactions with key clients by maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Market full line of products, services, and supplies in a designated territory.
- Provide existing account coverage and development of new accounts.
- Develop appropriate strategies (short & long term) to suit business needs and requirements of customers and non-customers.
- Generate and maintain a credible forecast for accounts and territories and provide this information on a regular basis to Senior Management including maintaining customer records and selling activities in our CRM system.
- Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends, establishing & maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner by developing sales and marketing proposals for customers, making presentations to customers.
- Create detailed sales forecasting, new item and/or new business development initiatives, budgets for support program(s) spending.

**Qualifications/Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of cleaning products (JanSan) and PPE is a plus but not an absolute requirement
- Direct support of new and existing relationships with both customers and suppliers is a must
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel (or equivalents)
- Excellent oral communication skills. Professional phone etiquette. Ability to work with little supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong service attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure customer needs are effectively met.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Commission pay
