The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) is a not-for-profit, self-governing, professional association of 21,000 members. As Ontario's independent certifying body for engineering and applied science technicians and technologists, OACETT confers the designations C.Tech. (Certified Technician) and C.E.T. (Certified Engineering Technologist). It promotes the interests of engineering and applied science technicians and technologists in industry, educational institutions, the public and government. With a vision to be the recognized leader in certification and member experience, OACETT supports engineering technology professionals in successfully navigating their careers. OACETT also sponsors the Fletcher Foundation, a charitable foundation focused on awarding bursaries for academic excellence and working to advance the engineering technology profession.

**Job purpose**

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**Member Services**
- Support the services team in achieving membership acquisition goals
- Help to onboard new members by directing them to onboarding materials and directing any questions they have
- Assist with the refresh and development of onboarding and membership materials
- Assist Manager of Marketing and Communications with implementing membership initiatives, as detailed in the membership strategy

**Outreach Initiatives**
- Build relationships with corporate and municipal partners
- Work with senior staff towards proactively planning and executing outreach meetings and presentations to employers
- Help with representing OACETT at in-person and virtual events to strengthen our presence and increase membership and corporate participation
- Provide service to our existing 360 Partnership Program employers
- Produce internal reports before board meetings tracking outreach activities and effectiveness
- Renew contracts with existing 360 partners
- Work with the Services team towards building awareness and recognition of OACETT and the profession amongst industry stakeholders
- Provide support to the Manager of College Outreach on an as-needed basis

**Certification and Corporate Outreach Awareness**
- Work with the Manager, Marketing and Communication to provide the content required for marketing employer recognition
- Write outreach articles as needed for the Ontario Technologist magazine
- Assist the Services department with creating engaging events for corporate participation
- Survey corporate contacts on new ideas and approaches towards increasing OACETT certification and recognition within industry

**Sponsorship and Chapter Support**
- Support Chapter and Program Advisor with sourcing corporate speakers for chapter events
- Assist with the organization of chapter related corporate events
- Assist with procuring corporate sponsorship for the conference and events

**Departmental Interactions**
- Attend committee, task force, and board meetings on an as-needed basis to provide updates on the status of corporate outreach program

**Qualifications**
- Completion of post-secondary education in business, marketing or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to work with external contacts, build relationships and execute sales
- Comfortable performing administrative tasks on a frequent basis
- Experienced with providing membership and/or customer service
- Strong writing and oral communications skills
- Comfortable presenting in front of large groups of people
- Knowledge of and an ability to use social media to communicate
- Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization or a professional association preferred
- Excellent organization and time management skills

Preference is 3 -5 years of relevant professional experience; however, a combination of education and experience will be considered.

**Direct reports**

This position reports directly to the Director - Professional Affairs, Services, and Government Relations.

Annual Salary is $65,000-$70,000

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
