**Position Summary**:
**The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing and engagement strategies designed to attract the talent needed to develop our team of today and the future. The TAS will manage the recruiting process from start to finish, including advertising, sourcing, interviewing, making hiring recommendations, preparing job offers, preparing salary and position change documents for internal applicants, tracking onboarding success, and data analysis.**

**Areas of Responsibility**:
**Sourcing and Employer Branding**

**Utilize storytelling to develop and project SMGH’s employee value proposition highlighting key differentiators that set the hospital apart from competitors**

**Lead and participate in the Health Human Resources (HHR) initiatives and source funding opportunities to supplement all recruitment activities**

**Develop long-term recruitment strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires**

**Provide expert advice and guidance to all levels of management in all aspects of the recruitment function ensuring appropriate recruitment strategies are developed**

**Recruitment Data and Trending Analysis**

**Perform market research on the talent landscape, maintain a strong grasp of industry trends & competition, and share relevant information with hospital leaders.**

**Provide insightful analysis of data that measures successes and identifies challenges to make recommendations for improvements**

**Position Requirements**:
**Completion of a college diploma or bachelor’s degree within the Human Resources field**

**5+ years of experience in a tactical end-to-end talent acquisition role, where a multitude of research/recruiting techniques were deployed**

**Strong intellectual capacity - continuous learner, highly analytical, with good conceptual thinking skills, and can translate data into creative recruitment solutions**

**A master collaborator with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and spoken), and proven negotiation skills, strong attention to detail and analysis capabilities**

**Perform well within a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team and as an independent individual comfortable with taking initiative**

**Human Resources professional with a CHRP or CHRL designation in good standing**

**Abide by all SMGH policies and procedures, relevant legislation (i.e., Occupational Health & Safety Act, Public Hospitals Act,) position obligations, and perform work duties in accordance with SMGH’s Code of Conduct.**

**Successfully able to perform their function in accordance with prescribed standards that focuses on the priority of People Safety and the delivery of the highest standard of Quality Care.**

**Demonstrate the physical and mental capabilities necessary for proper and efficient performance of the essential duties of the position.**

**Preferred Requirements**:
**Previous recruitment experience within a unionized Healthcare environment**
