**The Role**:
Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Financial Operations Analyst to join our Finance Operations team The role is an integral part of our Finance team. The Financial Operations Analyst is primarily responsible for overseeing finance operations with respect to Kobo’s hardware sales.

**The Person**:

- Financial close of hardware sales
- Period-end accounting and accruals processing
- Ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with company policy and accounting principles
- Sales Return Provision Modeling
- Warranty Provision Modeling
- Supporting the hedging strategy for the hardware business
- P&L reporting on the Tolino Bookseller Alliance
- Responsible for intercompany transactions for inventory, sales, and COGS
- Creating processes and controls surrounding the areas of responsibility
- Support for the forecasting and budgeting process
- Work on special projects, as reporting is needed

**The Skillset**:
Required:

- Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- 2+ years relevant experience required
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Comfortable presenting to senior management

Nice to Haves:

- CPA or working towards one
- SQL experience
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Navision
- Prior experience in inventory costing, hedging, and return provisions and asset
- Prior experience in a CE company is an asset
