Bartender for New Restaurant in New Westminster

Job Overview:
Brand new Italian Restaurant by Paddlewheeler Riverboat in New Westminster.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
- Check customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system
- Monitor inventory levels and restock bar supplies as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in bartending or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and beverage preparation
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for calculating orders and handling payments
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and cash handling procedures

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Experience with POS systems
- Familiarity with various types of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to recommend food and beverage pairings
- Training in responsible alcohol service

The position will include weekday, weekend and evening shifts
