**Position: Crisis Intervention Worker - Overnight Shifts**

**Hours: 40 hours/week, flexible schedule including days, evenings, overnights and weekends and statutory holidays**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the OFHL Team Lead or designate, this position will work out of the Oneida Family Healing Lodge to provide support to individuals and families in crisis situations. The employee will be energetic, and innovative, one who takes initiative to meet the Oneida Family Healing Lodge mandate/vision. While addressing the needs of clients, staff will provide respectful care while role-modeling positive, healthy leadership qualities to all clientele. General responsibilities will include providing residential and non-residential clients with basic counselling, support group facilitation, and education and information on family violence. The Oneida Family Healing Lodge is a service facility operating 24-7 and staff are required to work flexible hours, shift rotations including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and statutory holidays.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
1. Social Service Worker Diploma is **preferred**; consideration will be given to applicants who are currently in the process of obtaining SSW diploma **or** equivalent education qualifications (deemed relevant by the interview panel);
2. Previous employment experience in the social service sector or previous employment in a capacity delivering advocacy services similar to the Family Healing Lodge is **an asset;**

3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of family/domestic violence is essential;
4. Valid class “G” driver’s license and driver abstract.
