WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Cashier accepts payments, processes patient admissions/discharges, gathers missing information for billing purposes from patients, cash auditing and prepares, records and balances daily financial transactions.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

- 2 Year College Diploma in an Accounting or Business admin with accounting specialty required or equivalency achieved through education and experience.
- Related experience in a hospital setting would be an asset.
- Epic experience is an asset.
- Customer service experience with the public preferred.
- Accounts Receivable experience would be an asset.

WHO YOU ARE:

- Demonstrated customer focused/driven attitude and positive customer philosophy
- Accurate keyboarding skills (40 wpm)
- Able to use standard office equipment including a computer, laser printer, label printer, fax machine, multifunction photocopier, mailing machine, calculator, and telephone.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and follow current privacy regulations.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively over the telephone, with patients/families, staff and physicians and the community
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgement when making decisions
- Demonstrated good teamwork skills and ability to work collaboratively and promote a positive attitude within the team
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with precision and accuracy with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated patience and flexibility to support multiple client demands
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting an inclusive, non-judgmental workplace, welcoming all people of all backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task when facing multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to maintain good attendance and punctuality
- Ability to remain calm during emergency situations and carefully follow code procedures
