**SUPPORTIVE LIVING MANAGER**

**ROLE**

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Supportive Living Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of both Planeview Place and Cloverleaf Manor lodges and the provision of quality programs and services to the residents consistent with Leduc Regional Housing
Foundation (LRHF) policies. The Supportive Living Manager is the leader of the lodge staff team and ensures that high quality services are provided to all the residents.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

1. Applicable post-secondary.

2. Five (5) years supervisory/leadership experience.

3. Financial planning and budgeting skills.

4. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

5. Strong organizational and problem solving skills.

6. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, demonstrate initiative.

7. Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite of programs.

8. Intermediate skills using Property Management (YARDI is an asset) and HR
Software.

9. Standard First Aid Certificate.

10. A sincere desire and ability to work with seniors.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Effectively direct the programs and services of the Supportive Living Program in a manner that supports legislative requirements and LRHF’s philosophy and standards.
- Communicate effectively with the ongoing operations of the facility during regular meetings with the Executive Director.
- Submit a monthly operations report.
- Hold weekly one-on-one meetings with each Department Head.
- Hold monthly joint Department Head meetings to co-ordinate, communicate and educate.
- Assist Department Heads to see vacation and sick leaves covered.
- Monthly Department Head meetings to coordinate, communicate and educate.

2. Effectively manage the facility's human resources resulting in a productive, harmonious and stable work force.
- Recruitment of staff.
- Coordinate on boarding and training for lodge staff.
- Establish and maintain approved staff work schedules in AVANTI.
- Hold monthly staff Meetings to co-ordinate, communicate, recognize and educate.

- Conduct annual performance reviews with each Department Head and review the performance reviews completed by Department Heads of all other staff members.

3. Effectively manage within the financial budget of the lodge facilities, both revenue and expenses, in accordance with LRHF policy and legislative requirements:

- Assist with the preparation of budgets.
- Purchase materials and supplies as required within authorized limitations
- Monitor revenues and expenditures and analyse at least monthly.

4. Assume an active role in promoting positive community public relations and participate in promotion and awareness opportunities.
- Laisse with community agencies to coordinate support and services.
- Create opportunities for family involvement and recognition of volunteers.
- Maintain links within the community.
- Actively market the Lodge.

5. Effectively manage environmental safety of the facility to provide for the safety and security of staff, residents and visitors and to prevent risk and subsequent liability to the facility and/or Foundation.

6. Assume an active role in promoting positive community and/or public relations and participate in opportunities to influence planning and direction in the housing of seniors.
- Participate in inter-agency meetings.
- Schedule opportunities for family involvement and recognition of staff and volunteers (PL - temporary).
- Maintain links with the community.
- Actively market the Supportive Living Program

7. Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to aid in problem solving and long term planning.

8. Advise the Executive Director of any unresolved issues in a timely manner.

9. Promote Health & Safety awareness.
- Participate in all aspects of the Health & Safety Program.
- Perform hazard assessments and use safe work practices.
- Train staff in health & safety rules.
- Correct unsafe practices and conditions.
- Report any injury and near miss to the Executive Director.
- Complete WCB forms on a timely basis and submit.
- Set a good example.

10. Other duties as assigned.
