National Account Manager

Are you an enthusiastic individual with a tenacity to drive results? Do you have a book of business including LTL, and FTL?
The National Account Manager will secure new accounts and negotiate pricing with customers in a manner that optimizes company profits. To ensure success in this position you need to maintain up-to-date knowledge of freight carrier services, and be effective in attracting new customers and ensuring customer retention. Top applicants are customer-oriented, and have the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Sales Professionals will have a network to call upon and demonstrated success selling in a third-party (3PL), brokerage environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Generate sales leads by inside sales networking, cold-calling prospects and building relationships as part of a coordinated sales strategy
- Maintain relationships with existing clientele and build business internally
- Ensure new customers and business is fostered
- Create sales strategies by gathering market information, analyzing opportunities and documenting sales methodology; _**BDS International Trucking**_ offers an excellent work environment that fosters career growth along with a very competitive compensation package including a solid base salary and an un-capped commission structure.
- Responding to client prospect inquiries by preparing responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for quotations (RFQs)
**We are looking for people who meet the following requirements**:
- Must have a current book of business of $25,000 +
- Working knowledge of load boards
- Self motivated and driven for success
- 3+ year’s experience with freight brokering/3PL
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and carriers
- Ability to negotiate rates with customers
- Must Maintain current knowledge of market trends in transportation marketplace
**Salary**: $100,000.00 per year
