Acheson, Canada All-Fab Building Components Full time

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Safely and efficiently lead a team of 3-4 employees or team assigned by management.
- Track status of jobs. Communication with the production team is required.
- Accountable to ensure bundles are placed together and turned into complete packages.
- Ensure all materials accounted for and packages are complete. Communication with the yard team is required.
- Communicating with shipping department when a job, with all its components, is ready for shipping.
- Understand the software being used to track job status. This software is used to track production status and location of the packages (loads).
- Understand the guidelines and regulation about packages (loads). Road regulation (where is the job being delivered), load regulations (safe packaging techniques), and customer’s requirements (is there a crane on site).
- Understanding of truss building for quality control. Communicating with the production team when something needs to be repaired.
- Having the spatial awareness of the work area. Understanding how many jobs are coming out of the plant that day and planning the work area accordingly.
- Being accountable for team to follow procedure. Working safely and efficiently.
- Package trusses in accordance with company procedures, standard work operating procedures.
- Regularly inspects and checks the quality of the work being performed as well as the quality of the materials and condition of the equipment; and reports any problems to the Production Manager.
- Maintains a clean workstation throughout the shift, and especially cleaning up shortly before the end of the shift.
- Responsible for using all equipment and operating all machinery in a safe, correct, and careful manner, as instructed.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge/Abilities**:

- Able to use hammer & read tape measure in the foot-inch-sixteenth method.
- Able to read & understand work orders
- Verbal and written language proficiency in the English language
- Working cooperatively and supportive as a member of a team
- Detail oriented, accurate, safe
- Ability to prioritize and work productively in a team environment
- Strive toward developing new skills
- Actively participate in Huddles and offer improvement ideas
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Always look for ways to improve your department and yourself personally
