DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT ACTIVITIES

Reporting to the Senior Director, Infrastructure, the incumbent acts as an expert in capacity and performance management of our network and storage technology environments. The incumbent supports the architecture group in capacity/performance analysis and infrastructure studies. He/she analyzes and validates recommendations made by suppliers. The incumbent works closely with our internal partners and equipment suppliers. On a daily basis, he/she must ensure the stability of the technological environments in place.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a specialist in the operation of the technological infrastructures making up the network and storage computing environments.
- Act as a watchdog to understand and anticipate growth and trends in our technological environments, and make recommendations.
- Develop dashboard and capacity & performance monitoring modes
- Manage capacity increase requests
- Develop close collaboration with our outsourcer's managers and technical staff
- Develop and maintain friendly and harmonious relations with all our IT service providersEXIGENCIES
- University degree in computer science
- A minimum of six (6) years' experience in a similar position
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Demonstrated experience in capacity and performance management
- Excellent knowledge of technologies (NAS Isilon, EMC Clariion, VNX, telecommunications, Windows, Unix, Vmware, SQL, Sybase, etc)
- Knowledge of ITIL standards
- Fluency in oral and written French at expert levelCOMPETENCIES

Location: Montreal, 2 days a week in person.
