As Clearpath grows exponentially and continues to design and build robots full of awesomeness, we

need someone to come in to aid in the purchase of super awesome robot parts With more robots

shipping out than ever before, we’re looking for a Material Planner to join the team and keep up

with our growth. This position offers the best mix of responsibility, challenge, and enjoyment. We’re

looking for someone who can come in, take charge, and help keep our supply chain running

smoothly.

As our Material Planner, you will work among our fantastic Supply Chain/Operations Team within

OTTO Motors, Clearpath’s Industrial division. You will wear many hats, work with every department

in our company, and be around the coolest robots you can imagine. (Bonus points if you’re friends

with cool robots we’ll hire them too). You will be responsible for ensuring the availability of all

necessary materials required to support the manufacturing process, release scheduling of

inbound raw materials and components, and ensuring adequate stock levels for production

requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

- Translate the build rate plan forecast into material suggestions considering suppliers’ lead times, material on hand, minimum level quantities, etc.
- Utilize the MRP functionality in Epicor and verify system suggestions before sending them off to the purchasing team
- Run different production scenarios to find out cost of material commitment for the different forecasts
- Responsible for translating the Engineering Change Process outcome into inventory to update or add new planning parameters for parts being added or updated
- Understand product demand and update minimum on hand and other planning parameters as necessary
- Direct various departments on how to utilize the system through completing inventory transactions keeping costing and on hand quantities correct
- Work with the engineering team to collect costing data on new projects being launched and determine BOM costing in advance
- Administer BOM costing reports and completing comparative analysis to determine
costing trends for our products
- Manage our consumable VMI vendor by setting up new parts, removing parts as they become obsolete and leading the engineering change process when a part is no longer available.

Required Experience/Skills:

- Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
- 2-4 years in material management
- MRP experience
- Strong business acumen and understanding of procurement process
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skill
- Able to quickly evaluate and assess a problem situation and prioritize courses of action
- Being comfortable in a customer-facing situation, and acting with professionalism in each of those instances
