As a Production Worker (Cutter) you will be tasked with precise cutting, labeling, and seaming of all processed glass materials.
**Responsibilities**:
**1. Cutting, Labeling and Seaming**:
- Responsible for accurately cutting glass according to specified dimensions using both imperial and metric measurements.
- Ensure proper labeling of cut-glass pieces for identification and tracking purposes.
- Perform seaming operations on glass edges to ensure smoothness and safety.
- Adhere to production standards and specifications.
**2. Reading Blueprints and Using Imperial and Metric Tapes**:
- Ability to interpret and follow basic blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise cutting and seaming of glass materials.
- Ability to understand and use imperial and metric tapes for measurements.
**3. Machine Operation and Quality Control**:
- Operate the machine operator interface to control and monitor cutting equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on cutting machinery to ensure functionality and safety.
- Conduct quality checks on cut glass pieces to ensure they meet production standards and customer specifications.
**4. Safety and Compliance**:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow company policies and guidelines related to glass cutting, handling, and disposal.
**5. Other duties**:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum six months of experience in glass cutting or similar manufacturing environments preferred.
- Proficiency in using both imperial and metric tape measures.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot machine interfaces effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing and lifting materials of up to 50 pounds.
