**Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator**

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron is a non-profit community-based mentoring organization seeking a _**1-year Full Time, Contract, Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator, **_commencing immediately.
Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Job will be a hybrid of in office and work from home

**The Primary Responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and implementing a targeted plan for volunteer recruitment, retention and appreciation.
- Developing and implementing a marketing plan to actively promote the agencies need for volunteers; including the creation of promotional materials
- Scheduling and organizing speaking engagements to highlight our programs and services
- Organize our attendance at community events
- Review volunteer recruitment and service delivery policies and required documentation as required by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada’s National Standards to ensure compliance
- Recruit and train new volunteers to Mentor youth within our organization
- Oversee our In-School Mentoring program for the 2023-2024 school year (including acting as the liaison on behalf of the Agency with the school boards and local schools, program promotion, creating and monitoring matches and supporting co-op student(s))
- A minimum two-year post-secondary education in the related field of social work, child and youth worker, social or human services, or education. At least two years’ experience is also an asset.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and web-conferencing platforms
- Strong and effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Experience in the facilitation of Child Safety Programs and volunteer training

**Additional Information**
- Access to a reliable vehicle is essential, with a minimum of $1,000,000 liability insurance
- Current criminal reference check - vulnerable sector is required
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
- Hourly wage starting at $21/hour. 35 hours per week. Flexible hours with lieu time accumulation and benefits (HSA). 2 weeks paid holidays, 12 sick days and 2 personal days per year.
