**Responsibilities**:
At Tritech, we aim to provide opportunities that are challenging, fast-paced, that effectively utilize the skills of our team members, and provides variety in day-to-day tasks.
The job responsibilities for this role includes:
- Approximately, and on average, **50% of working time** will be spent:
- Operating equipment to complete trenching, excavation, backfilling, and fine grading
- Driving company vehicles such as dump trucks and flat decks
- Driving and operating company cranes
- Communicating with ground crews using hand signals and voice.
- The remaining **50% of working time** will be spent:
- Documenting daily logs for all inspections and maintenance work done on equipment and vehicles.
- Cleaning & lubricating equipment.
- Refilling equipment tanks.
- Performing pre-operational inspections, hazard assessments, and safety checks.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
- Assisting ground crews with a variety of labor activities when not operating equipment; such as, directing site traffic, assisting with equipment and pipe installations, assisting with hand dug excavations, loading/unloading and inventorying supplies and materials, general worksite housekeeping, etc.
- 100% of working time will be spent:
- Being accountable, responsible & taking ownership.
- Being safety conscious and following safety policies and procedures.
- Providing a safe work environment through continuous training and development.
- Operating with honesty, integrity, and respect.
**Requirements**:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Class 3 B.C. driver’s license with an air brakes endorsement
- Level A crane certification for knuckle boom and/or stiff boom mobile cranes
- Reliable transportation and a clean driver’s abstract
- Experience operating and driving the following vehicles/equipment:
- Flat deck trucks and trailers
- Dump trucks
- Mobile crane trucks
- Pickups/duallys
- Forklift, skid steer, telehandler
- Knowledge of and experience with safe hoisting/rigging procedures
- Must be willing and able to complete a variety of labor duties when not operating cranes, vehicles, or other equipment
- Post-secondary schooling or training for equipment and/or crane operation is an asset
- Class 1 B.C. driver’s license is an asset
- Experience working with hand tools and machinery is an asset
