WORK LOCATION: Remote (hybrid), The Maritimes, Canada.

We are seeking a full-time **Accounting Manager/Junior Controller** to join our growing Team. This role will be virtual and will report to the CFO. As an experienced, full cycle accountant with a dedicated and meticulous work ethic, you thrive in a busy, ambitious and growing environment and enjoy working with a dynamic and diverse team of professionals.

**Key Duties**:

- Record-Keeping: Record and maintain accurate financial data, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash balances to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collection activities.
- Payroll: Assist in processing payroll transactions and payroll remittances
- Analysis: preparation of financial analysis as required to facilitate decision-making.
- Communication: Interact with other departments to ensure proper financial reporting, resolve discrepancies, and answer financial and accounting related questions.
- Other ad hoc accounting/finance duties and projects as required.

**Experience & Attributes for Success**:

- Post-secondary education in accounting
- 4-5 years’ experience in a senior/management level finance and accounting role
- Demonstrated experience with cloud-based accounting systems is required (XERO experience is ideal but not required)
- Proficiency with Google Suite, and overall computer/software skills
- Committed and dedicated work ethic with a motivated and driven approach
- Adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the company
- Proven organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Desire to contribute and grow with a positive and engaging team
- Self motivated, results oriented, and excellent attention to detail skills
- Own a laptop/computer less than 2 years old from it’s release date, or willing to upgrade
- Bilingualism (French/English or English/Spanish) would be a nice-to-have but not required.
- This is a work from home position however travel to our headquarters in New Brunswick, Canada will be required on a quarterly basis.
