Construction Accounting Coordinator

Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Accounting Coordinator to join their dynamic team and support the Controller. If you're passionate about numbers, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced, in-office environment, this permanent opportunity could be yours
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Set up the project master files
- Entering estimates, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Responding to supplies and vendor inquiries on payment status
- Set up new accounts in Jonas as necessary
- Allocate monthly overhead costs to jobs based on payroll data
- Other duties as required
- Post-secondary education from a college or university focusing in accounting
- Previous construction industry experience is a definite asset
- Proficiency with Sage50 software is ideal
- Previous experience using the Jonas file management system is considered an asset
- Basic understanding of accounting terms and conditions
- Able to keep track of multiple projects and prioritize according to operational needs
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts
- Detail oriented with an analytical mindset
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Able to work well within a team
