**What you will do**

Reporting to the Area General Manager - Sustainable Infrastructure in Canada, the Finance Model Manager (Federal) will be responsible for the overall financial tracking, management and health of Johnson Controls’ financed Energy Performance Contracts (EPC’s) for the Canadian federal government. The position will be responsible for monthly reporting on EPC’s delivered primarily for Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and Defense Construction Canada (DCC) within Johnson Controls (JC) and to the client. Monthly reporting will include cash-flow updates, project budget reconciliation with financing and synchronization of project sales and execution efforts with financing setup and maintenance over the term of the EPC including as follows:

- Safety: adhering to all JC and client safety programs to the highest standard between the programs and direct engagement in incident reporting and investigation.
- Finance:

- Client interface on the financing transaction and managing the financing arrangement with client and lender after JCI’s structured finance group has set up the transaction.
- Interest cost and cash-flow tracking for the client per terms of the EPC contract.
- Project budget, spend and proposed change reconciliation monthly with financing model and update to client
- Project development and engineering:

- Assist sales in pursuit strategy, content and execution surrounding financing and optimized financial value strategy
- Setup modelling for cost-tracking of upcoming contracts
- Assist with contract assembly of upcoming contracts and/or contracts being updated for financier terms
- Project management:

- Convert project execution budget projections from project management team into cash flow and financing model updates for customer.
- Part of negotiation team for contemplated contract changes for each project with the client.
- Guarantee risk management / Measurement and verification:

- Updating of cash flow for energy savings reporting being provided by Performance engineering team during construction and guarantee period.
- Presence at all energy savings reporting events (construction and on-going post-construction reporting)

**How you will do it**
- Active role either via video conference or in-person in all relevant client-facing workshops, weekly / bi-weekly meetings for on-going EPC projects
- Attendance and active participation remotely for internal reviews such as backlog reviews, governance reviews, pre-contract reviews amongst others
- Cadence communications with financing partners to ensure documentation accuracy and flow
- Complete time and attendance records weekly for accurate cost reflection on projects
- Work from home for time when not in client in-person face-to-face meetings or internal team in-person meetings at JC offices or elsewhere within Canada.
- Occasional travel to the USA may be required

**What we look for
**_Education: _**
- Masters in Business Administration or Finance training equivalent
- Demonstrated training / competency on project financial modelling
- Registered Professional Engineer, CFA (Certified Financial Analyst), PMP (Project Management Professional) & CEM (Certified Energy Manager) are assets

**_Experience: _**
- 8 years demonstrated ability to navigate complex financial transactions with financiers, client and within the project delivery enterprise.
- Background in Energy Performance Contracting is an asset

**_Skills: _**
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
- Customer relationship skills
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills:

- Microsoft Excel - advanced knowledge
- MS Project - working knowledge
- Use of Word, Visio, Powerpoint, Adobe Writer, etc., amongst other apps
- Managerial/leadership skills
- Bilingual communication abilities in English and French are an asset.

- Must be able to attain a minimum Enhanced Reliability level security clearance.
- Must be able to travel to various project sites anywhere in Canada.
- Preferred location: Greater Ottawa, Alternate locations: Greater Montreal & Greater Toronto
- Reasonable proximity to one of YOW, YYZ or YUL airports is necessary
