The Logistics Intern will work collaboratively with the team assisting with day-to-day operations and tasks on the farm. The role offers a tremendous opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in the fields of agriculture, people development, and business development. Participation in a number of summer projects during the work term will help develop transferable skills.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
(Other duties may be assigned as required)
- Contribute toward and support company and departmental initiatives and operations, managing special projects and day-to-day tasks
- Assist in the recording and maintenance of orders during fresh produce season.
- Monitor inventory levels and generate weekly inventory and upcoming order reports.
- Monitor team meetings and record meeting minutes.
- Assist QA and Sales with the preparation of supporting documentation for orders.
- Coordinate shipments from Washington Farms and ensure appropriate customs declaration documents are provided.
- Maintain QPP and SOP documents as necessary and communicate with all members of production as it pertains to customer orders.
- Assist Sales and Operations with day to day tasks.
- Maintain inventory for the packaging material and PPE
- Prepare and analyze reports and spreadsheets
- Liaise with a variety of internal and external contacts, including suppliers and vendors
- Assist with product costing, quoting, purchase orders, etc.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle and/or bike to commute to and from the farm (public transportation is not an option)
- Current post-secondary student or recent graduate of a university program in a related field, such as agriculture, business, logistics, management or human resources
- Positive and professional attitude with the ability to work well under pressure
- Highly self-motivated team player who is good at taking initiative
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work extended and flexible hours as dictated by seasonal demands

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.05 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pitt Meadows, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
