The Opportunity

Green Cross Health currently has opportunities for General Practitioners (Family Medicine Practitioners) to join our team in NZ. Our GPs have the option to work 4 or 5 days per week, and while we'd love to have you permanently, we're also open to fixed-term contract arrangements of one year or longer.

As one of our GPs, you will provide comprehensive clinical medical services to individuals, families, and the broader community, diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality primary healthcare services.

With practices ranging from two to 11 doctors, you will be supported by a team of skilled nurses, an experienced administration team, and a dedicated Practice Manager, as well as your GP colleagues.

Our clinics cater to diverse communities with varying levels of healthcare literacy and medical complexity. Prioritising patient well-being and delivering exceptional care and bedside manner are crucial aspects of being one of our doctors.

Green Cross is NZ's largest healthcare provider, and all of our practices are deeply embedded in the communities we serve, providing dedicated support and care. GPs working with Green Cross will have the advantage of working in a clinic that tailors its approach to meet the needs of the local community, while also benefiting from the support and structure of a large organisation.

About You

To join Green Cross Health as a GP, you will be qualified as a doctor and registered to practice medicine in your current country of residence. You will also be eligible for registration in New Zealand, to see if you qualify, please check here.

You have experience as a doctor working in a clinic to treat patients for a range of conditions, and you will be looking for a new opportunity to broaden your horizons.

Passionate about providing care to all, regardless of their background, comorbidities, or education level, you will be looking to join a community-focused practice that values its patients.

Remuneration and Benefits

When you join Green Cross Health, you will be joining a large, connected, and supportive network of medical professionals. We offer generous, above-average salaries for Doctors, based on experience and increased regularly with experience and registration status.

We also provide relocation assistance up to $5,000, dependent on your intended length of stay with us.

The Green Cross Health organisation has the resources to provide key support and assistance in coordinating everything you need to get to New Zealand. We will help set up your English language test, if required, guide you through the registration process with the Medical Council of New Zealand and help attain visas for you and your family.
