We are currently seeking a hands-on leader to fill the role of Assistant Facility Manager at our terminal located in **Assiniboia, SK.** As the Assistant Facility Manager, you will be responsible for all activities related to the handling and shipping of grain. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations of grain procurement, inventory maintenance management, grain shipments, grain grading/blending, grain sales and related documentation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending and loading of grain;
- Monitoring stored grain conditions and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment;
- Perform or assist in routine maintenance and repairs;
- Coordinate the function of bringing in railcars and/or trucks to ship grain according to grade and dockage;
- Communicate and train staff on policies and procedures ensuring proper grain handling in a profitable and efficient manner;
- To implement, enforce, and monitor corporate safety, health and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Provide training and development to facility assistants on grain grading, binning, and blending;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma required; post-secondary education considered an asset;
- 3 years of previous or related experience in the grain industry;
- Grain cleaning experience is an asset;
- Experience with agriculture, farm equipment and a mechanical aptitude is preferred;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook;
- Valid class 5 driver’s license.
