**Job Title: Summer Promotions, Program & Special Events Planner - Downtown Sudbury BIA**

As a Summer Promotions, Program & Special Events Planner for Downtown Sudbury BIA, you'll work closely with community members and businesses, crafting captivating social media content and overseeing social components of events and activations. You'll contribute to local development projects, attend local festivals, and supervise on-site developments. Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to spotlight patio activity, organize live music events, and promote on-street initiatives online and through communication channels. Other duties include gathering community data, supporting streetscaping and on-street operations, and assisting with Thursday Patio incentives, Friday Happy Hours, and Saturdays at the market.

**What a workday might include**:

- Engaging with the public while attending all local festivals, major acts, BIA and Non-BIA activities and initiatives (may include evenings and weekends).
- Supervising on-site developments and improvements as necessary, including Thursday Patio incentives, Friday Happy Hours, and Saturdays at the market.
- Collaborating with the Social Media Manager to highlight patio activity and set up live music events.
- Coordinating with the Social Media Manager to support and publicize on-street initiatives online, in media, and through communication channels.
- Assisting the Executive Director with local development projects related to on-street operations, wayfinding, accessibility, urban planning, parks, and other streetscape or urban development areas.
- Reaching out to members directly to update their profile information in Downtown's Database, showcasing your people skills and friendly demeanor.

- Leadership skills and experience working in a team.
- Proven ability to balance multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously.
- An organized self-starter, creative, and member/customer-focused.
- Able to work with mínimal direction.
- Must be able to work on a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required for the completion of key project coordination goals.
