**Role Description**

The primary goal of the Solution Development Lead is to manage our internal and external software development teams and actively participate in the development of our software solutions across a variety of products and technologies. Working closely with the VP of Solutions development, this role will help translate customer needs and company strategies into robust solutions for the marketplace. Please note the preferred location for this role is Calgary, AB, but we are open to hiring remotely.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Team leadership of the software development teams.
- Responsible for solutions architecture, design, development, testing and deployment.
- Responsible for solutions integrity, maintainability and product quality.
- Work closely with PM’s and Product team to gather business requirements and define roadmaps.
- Plan work into detailed sprints and provide project estimates/milestones/schedules/plans.
- Lead sprint planning, sprint reviews and daily scrums.
- Actively participates in testing, releasing and production support.

**Qualifications and Interpersonal Skills**
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
- Ten+ (10) years of progressive experience in software solutions development.
- Experienced leading and overseeing distributed development teams (offshore).
- Experienced working as a Solution Architect.
- Experienced with Agile Software Development practices (Scrum).
- Experienced in software development using C#, Node.js, React, MySql, Redis.
- Experienced with HA Frameworks, Cloud environments (Azure), Linux, Windows.
- Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented.
- Detailed-oriented and personable with a team-player mindset.
- Project management skills, Curious, and inquisitive.
- Well organized, good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines.

**Salary**: $59,867.48-$100,000.00 per year

- Calgary, AB T3B 4N2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
