**Description**:
We seek a proven academic Critical Care physician or surgeon and visionary leader with a demonstrated track record of success in a formal leadership role and in leading change within a complex environment. The Head of the Interdepartmental Centre for Critical Care will oversee the stewardship of policies, procedures, standards of practice, directives, and protocols related to critical care at UHN/SHS, assuring compliance of critical care practices with legislative requirements, standards of professional practice, and codes of ethics. The position reports to the Chief Medical Officer, is a dyadic partner with the Clinical Vice President enabling robust quality assurance, improvement and safety programs.

- Track record in large scale and impactful improvement of quality and safety across the continuum
- Proven success in adopting and leading innovations in critical care
- Track record of success in working in a multidisciplinary environment
- National and international partnerships/collaboration to advance research and innovation within the Centre
- Robust knowledge/experience leading large programs from a financial, operational, regulatory, recruitment perspective
