**About the Team**

You will be an integral member of the Actuarial Management Canada Life & Health team which comprises approximately 30 people across Toronto and Bangalore. You will report to the Vice President & Actuary. The team is responsible for valuation and financial reporting for multiple reporting bases, including (but not limited to) local Canadian IFRS, USGAAP and embedded value.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a Actuarial Analyst to support the Swiss Re Canada valuation team with Canadian IFRS-17 quarterly reporting - including development/reporting of quarterly results; supporting the quarter-end earnings process; coordinating and reporting Plan earnings.

The incumbent is expected to be an integral part of the valuation team and to have a strong background in a corporate actuarial environment. Familiarity with Moody's AXIS and Canadian Actuarial Standards is preferred.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Support development of IFRS-17 financials for Canadian business
- Update internal valuation models, including IFRS-17 assumption validation, parameter updates and modelling enhancements
- Support development of IFRS-17 Plan earnings projections
- Support embedded value reporting for 2023, including earnings analysis, balance sheet rollforward and capital projections
- Support deliverables required for risk capital/management activities
- Preparing and updating process documentation as necessary and maintaining and completing controls associated with IFRS-17 valuation processes

**About You**
- University degree in mathematics or actuarial science
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a corporate actuarial environment
- Knowledge of Moody's AXIS is preferred
- Knowledge of IFRS-17 is preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team to contribute to the successful delivery of time-sensitive projects
- Detail and deadline oriented
