**Purpose**

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Warehouse QA Technician manages the quality and safety standards of finished products, ingredients, and packaging within the warehouse. The role also ensures the facility continuously complies with SQF and customer quality and food safety standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Inspect incoming material to ensure compliance to product specification.
- Review CoA’s and compare to specification to ensure accuracy and maintenance CoA log.
- Hold and release product awaiting testing and, hold non-conforming product as needed.
- Review and maintain finished product specification data base.
- Provide quality assurance and food safety guidance when product is out of specification or when GMP’s are not followed.
- Ensure the site maintains proper GMP and food safety standards as per SQF requirements.
- Perform internal audits, food safety audits and glass & hard plastic inspections.
- Review and ensure receiving and shipping records are properly maintained.
- Assist in the annual food defense challenge and vulnerability assessment.
- Ensure proper control and storage of allergens and organic material.
- Investigate and issue glass breakage reports as needed.
- Liaise with QA Manager and customers to ensure timely release of product after micro/allergen testing hold.
- Liaise with pest control provider and follow-up on all corrective actions.
- Prepare supplier non-conformance reports and communicate non-conformances to suppliers.
- Ensure continued adherence to the wooden pallet and foreign material prevention program.

**Working & Physical Conditions**
- Standing and walking frequently
- High noise levels, ear protection provided if requested
- Handling ingredients and common allergens
- Conflict and Issue Resolution
- Data Interpretation
- Work independently, mínimal supervision.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1 year experience in food quality, distribution centre experience will be considered an asset
- Required, College Diploma in relative field, Food Science
- Adequate computer skills
- Willingness to learn
- Able to understand and interpret standard lab equipment
