- Front Desk Customer Care Associate/Optometric Assistant Role:_

MVO is currently seeking a Front Desk Customer Care Associate/OA that is ready to be a major contributor to our outstanding, high performing Cochrane team. This position is a front-line role, in which you are the face and voice of our dynamic practice.

Are you passionate about helping people? This role provides opportunities to help by answering phones, booking appropriate appointments, checking patients in and out, confirming demographic information, processing doctor referrals, gathering and investigating information, processing payments/insurance, and other administrative tasks. The core of this position is to provide a memorable, compassionate, protective, and professional customer experience. Communication is key in identifying unspoken concerns and to provide information to help patients discover why they should choose Mountain View Optometry for their overall eye care.

Mountain View Optometry works with highly specialized diagnostic equipment, innovative practice management software, and premium products and services. These allow us to provide our customers with an elevated standard of care, that is second to none. We require our team to respect each person's unique personality, perspective, circumstances, and needs and convey compassion to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Skills and abilities:_
- Being a Medical Office Assistant/OA or previous experience in a customer focused, service desk role is an asset but not required
- Experience with an EMR or being a “technophile” is an asset. Keyboarding skills are essential
- Outgoing, purposeful individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication, written skills, and a professional telephone manner
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships
- Determined to continually improve and learn-this role will require cross training in the pre-test department, performing diagnostic testing on patients
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
