**The Opportunity**

This position works remotely in Canada for the Abbott Diabetes Care division. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

As the National Sales Training Manager, you’ll have the chance to be part of a team that is changing the way people with diabetes manage their disease.

**What You’ll Do**
- Develops and delivers training workshops either in person or through distance education as required.
- Develops and maintains training manuals, tools, and programs in conjunction with product managers and other members of the commercial teams.
- Maintains ongoing knowledge of sales force training requirements through needs assessments and testing and develops training programs to fill any identified gaps.
- Develops and shares knowledge of evolving sales training principles and practices. Incorporates best-in-class approaches when appropriate.
- Conducts field visits and work-with with sales representatives to reinforce training, and to assess sales force training needs and gaps.
- Builds strong relationships with business leaders and partner with the leadership team to align and deploy plans to build organizational and functional capability. Develops annual organizational learning plan to build this capability.
- Leverage the learning plan to continue to develop approaches to build organizational capability through development planning tools and activities such as knowledge sharing, experiential learning, coaching / feedback, 360 feedback tools/process and development programs.
- Manages direct report(s) and external agencies.
- Responsible for managing the annual budget for the training department.

**Required Qualifications**
- Completed bachelor’s degree required.
- Five to eight years of relevant experience.
- Sales experience selling to HCPs, ideally with a mix of Specialist, GP, and Pharmacy.
- Marketing experiences an asset.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong Coaching skills.
- Facilitation skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to speak French is an asset.
