**Morin Capital Inc. DBA The Morin Group** is seeking Carpenters to join our team.

The Morin Group focuses in real estate property management and offers general contracting services to commercial and industrial clients. The bulk of our operation is commonly with residential renovations on assets we own along with property maintenance on our existing rental properties. Dependent on the time of year, we also do general contracting for various companies in Northern Ontario (Timmins and area).

Job Title: Carpenter
Status: Full-time or Part-time
Vacancy: On-going
Work Location: Primarily Timmins and area
Start Date: TBD
Salary Range: $23-35/hr, Based on experience

Experience Level:

- Apprentice or Journeyperson +

Minimum Requirements:

- Be physically fit, reliable, punctual and possess the ability to do physical labor and continuous physical tasks in all weather conditions
- Knowledge of the OHSA, WHIMIS and other applicable laws and regulations; knowledge of building codes and other relevant regulations
- Be flexible with work arrangements, generally Monday to Friday with opportunity for more hours on weekends
- Possess and provide basic PPE & carpenter tools
- Ability to read labels, safety warning and guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and handle up to 100lbs
- Ability to go do remote work and perform under extreme weather conditions
- Valid Driver’s license (required)

Duties included but not limited to:

- Assemble and fabricate structures and frameworks, including install of windows, doors, cabinets, countertops etc
- Basic understanding and efficient execution of carpentry skills, ability to use and operate carpentry tools and equipment efficiently and safely
- Repair/replace damaged or defective parts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine specs and requirements
- Collaborate with other construction personal to ensure project completion
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and some plumbing for installation purposes only
- Perform risk assessment of job site prior to work, correct or report
- Complete any applicable paperwork and/or required reports
- Other required duties as prescribed at job site

Bonus if you have:

- Possess valid and current qualifications such as First Aid/CPR, working at heights, WHIMIS, confined space, elevated work platforms, lockout/tagout etc.
- Own transportation
- Tickets to operate equipment
