**Job Summary**

**JOB TITLE: Health and Safety/ Compliance Co-Ordinator**

The Canadian Locators Inc. Ontario is seeking to hire a qualified Health and Safety/ compliance Co-Ordinator. This position is well suited to those individuals who have a keen interest in occupational health and safety and have practical experience in the Locating industry. The Safety & Compliance Co-Ordinator will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating and analyzing work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors for Locators and Dispatchers. May conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of Locators. overseeing the maintenance and compliancy of all the locating equipment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Inspect work environments to ensure safety.
- OHSA compliance and record keeping
- Manage and tracking locators GPS device.
- Maintenance of EHS related records and delivery of Group reporting
- Ensure company goals, initiatives, and campaigns are completed
- Lead incident investigations and manage the return-to-work Program
- Work alongside senior management to build responses to JHSC recommendations and OOC Compliance
- Communicate information to employees regarding health and safety policies and procedures
- Prepare detailed statistical trend analysis and develop reports and presentations including the preparation of graphs and charts
- Plan, execute, and maintain safety training needs of the company and manage Safety training Matrix
- Manage client portals to ensure all H&S/compliance requirements are met and inquiries responded to
- Conduct site orientations for new employees, contractors, and visitors
- Conduct safety meetings, JHS meetings, safety moments, and coordinate
- Manage Locators site Behavior Based Safety program
- Manage site Emergency Response; emergency drills, first response
- Conduct audits as required
- Assist with compliance related inspections and inquiries
- Sustainability champion for the company
- Frequently collaborate with HR Activities.
- Other EHS duties as assigned by management

**Qualifications**
- Strong knowledge of OHSA, and industry safety standards with 3 years of experience in a Health and Safety Officer/Coordinator role
- Self-motivator with strong organization and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with different levels of management
- Bachelor’s Degree/College Diploma in Health & Safety or equivalent education and experience
- Prior experience with ISO, behavioural based safety programs
- Problem solver with the ability to multitask Energetic, goal oriented, enthusiastic and a positive attitude
