**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

The Sales representative is responsible for working with customers to determine plant product needs, source material and organize transportation for the shipping of plant material both locally and cross-border from Canada to the United States.

**Major Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assess customer needs and provide product options
- Work with existing customer base and seek new business to cultivate plant orders
- Purchase weekly flower products and manage weekly availabilities
- Understand the products you are selling and market them accordingly
- Manage pre-book orders and confirm product bookings to fulfil customer requirements
- Meet individual sales quotas
- Prepare proper documentation for all local and cross-border shipments
- Ensure the appropriate data, i.e. products, pricing etc is entered into software systems in an accurate manner.
- Coordinate with trucking companies
- Communicate with warehouse staff of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Occasional visits to growers to develop relationships and stay current with availabilities
- Participate in Audits from Canadian Food Inspection Agency ensuring all legislative requirements are met.
- Contribute toward a constructive work environment through excellent interpersonal, team building skills and open communication.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in related field
- 3-5 years previous sales experience (in floral industry not required but an asset)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated capacity to work with significant independence
- Passionate about flowers and customer service

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Floriculture and /or Horticulture: 3 years (preferred)
- Microsoft Office: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in St. Catharines, ON L2R 6P9
