Fundy Vets is hiring a Large Animal/Equine Veterinary Assistant The Large Animal Assistant is a specialty and new position at Fundy Vets.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Completing Billing and milage for the Veterinarians
- Lab work: Preparing in house lab work for technicians and preparing samples for out of house.
- Clean and maintain large animal equipment
- Prepare products and fill large animal order requests
- Ordering and Monitoring for Large Animal Inventory
- Assist Equine Vets on Farm
- Assist with Embryo Transfers
- Organize communication with Farmers for meetings, studies, promotions and other information
- be a contact person for Farmers if they have questions
- Perform basic on farm procedures (Offer routine disbudding for farms where vet currently dehorns, draw blood from down cows in Shubie area to run if vet not available to exam right away, vaccination protocols on some farms, )
- Farm Data -** **Devote time to farm data (i.e. MQM, MUN)

**Requirements**:

- Experience with Large Animals, Equine.
- Experience working in a Animal Hospital
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
