MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As an electrical technician on the engineering team, you will be reporting to the Team Leader, Sea-Doo Electrical Integrators, and have a major impact on the design, development and validation of various electrical and mechatronic systems of a recreational vehicle. You’ll have the opportunity to:
Coordinate and participate in the creation of electrical diagrams, component lists, drawings and their punctual delivery.

Produce and validate functional prototypes of electronic and mechatronic systems.

Build and test electrical harnesses for prototype vehicles.

Support the workshop in the assembly, testing and validation of prototype vehicles.

Develop and execute test plans for the validation of technical solutions and calibration of mechatronic functions.

Upload software to the various control modules and calibrate the mechatronic functions of the vehicles, both in the workshop and on the open water.

Collaborate with designers and engineers in the design and development of new parts, systems and vehicles.

Collaborate with suppliers in the development of electrical and electronic components.

Collaborate with the design, production, purchasing, quality assurance and manufacturing engineering teams.

Support production start-up in various BRP plants.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

A technical college diploma in electrical engineering, electrotechnics or another related field.

3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and skills in electrical engineering, electromechanics, electrical circuit design and wired logic.

Ability to take initiative, autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility.

Good ability to speak and write in English and French.

Experience with Catia/SmarTeam, CRETA and INCA software would be an asset.

An ability to adapt to an environment where the technical solutions are unknown, and where the path forward is not clearly marked.

Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to perform mechanical repairs and physical tests.

You are available to travel occasionally.
