Tantalum Mining Corporation of Canada Ltd is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team.

Acts as a liaison between business units within Sinomine Specialty Fluids UK, TANCO Manitoba and Sinomine Group accounting. Performs treasury, accounting, and financial reporting activities in support of senior level accountants.

This position is based in the Sinomine Corporate office.

**Position Summary**

Acts as a liaison between business units within Sinomine Specialty Fluids UK, TANCO Manitoba and Sinomine Group accounting. Performs treasury, accounting, and financial reporting activities in support of senior level accountants.

This position is based in the Sinomine Corporate office.

**Job Requirements **(Principal Responsibilities)
- Assists in month end closes, and monthly reconciliation processes for multiple entities.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and foreign exchange revaluation.
- Set up and post payments in the company’s business systems (Sage Intacct).
- Set up electronic funds transfer (EFT) and templates in the bank for payment runs.
- Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to classification and posting of financial transactions.
- Complete reports to assist with European VAT returns.
- Sales summary preparation and margin analysis for multiple entities.
- Prepare invoices for distribution based on shipping notifications
- Cash in transit reconciliation and clearing.
- Prepare cash forecast report for Management.
- Coordinates with internal functions and operations.
- Payroll reporting and tax claim for Hong Kong personnel.
- Utilizes computer to input, retrieve or display accounting information.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Able to speak, write and read in Mandarin.

- Knowledge of company/business policies and procedures.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge and us in Microsoft office, especially Excel.
- Familiar with general ledger and financial reports.
- Foreign exchange knowledge
- Ability to work collaboratively with others or as part of a team.
- Communication in Mandarin is required (verbal & written.)

**Education/Experience**
- Accounting Certification (or willingness to pursue further education) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-year industry experience of financial support required.

**Salary**: $40,582.00-$65,096.00 per year
