**About the Role**:
This is a four-month, full-time, remote position to help mobilize and amplify business sustainability knowledge, while bringing communities together around it. Your role will include supporting the intertwined teams at both BSV and NBS. You’ll work collaboratively with these teams online with Zoom meetings and project management software “Basecamp.”

The Ivey Centre for Building Sustainable Value (BSV) was one of the first sustainability centres in a business school globally, and is recognized for its excellence and 20-year track record in research and teaching. BSV is part of the Ivey Business School and is they lever by which Ivey advances its sustainability ambitions.

BSV’s mission is to shape pathways of systems change towards an ecologically sound, fair future.

**About NBS**:
NBS is a global non-profit housed within BSV at Ivey Business School, focused on advancing sustainable development. We achieve this by connecting international academic research with people who can implement it: managers, policy-makers, etc. We bring these communities together to share knowledge and connect over sustainability topics.

**Responsibilities**:
**The Digital Communities Specialist Intern will**:

- NBS Digital Engagement:

- Update NBS website with new content; identify and troubleshoot any web issues by working with our contracted web maintenance team
- Prepare NBS newsletters on Mailchimp
- Support database management of network contacts, and content production pipeline
- Maintain and develop strategies for the NBS Community Forum
- BSV Communications and Communities:

- Develop content for and monitor the LinkedIn Ivey Sustainability Community
- Interview Ivey alumni, developing blog-style impact stories
- Support various alumni/stakeholder engagements happening throughout the summer
- Other:

- Suggest improvements and new ideas to further amplify NBS and BSV’s impact
- Attend team meetings and actively contribute to discussion

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- 2 years of post-secondary education, and be a student returning to studies in the fall

**Experience**:
- Previous directly related experience

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Digitally savvy, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Independent, entrepreneurial, resourceful, reliable
- An interest in impacting business sustainability
- Helpful tools to be familiar with (though not essential): Basecamp project manager, WordPress, Mailchimp, HubSpot, LinkedIn
- SEO knowledge is an asset
- Ability to follow detailed and/or complex processes and practices with high attention to detail
- Demonstrates integrity and works in accordance with Western's policies and procedures
- Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and use new software programs as required
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements as applicable
